I've been basically MIA for some time, which I know is a piss poor thing when I'm doing requests. But, at the risk of sounding like an asshole, they are requests, as in noone's paying for them and I really feel that noone has the right to be pushy. I'm not what most people would consider a professional artist and sadly I do get into blocks quite often. Last thing I want to do is force my way through doing a trade or a request when the final result could end up being completely crappy and poor because I simply wanted to "get it done." Not that anyone has been hassling me or anything, I just wanted to say that because I have heard instances where people are being pretty pushy towards about doing requests. I suppose I have just been sort of losing interest and patience in the FA community again. Then again I suppose it's just me getting tired in general. It's been quite busy recently.

The band I am in are playing again which has been a lot of fun and a really good way to blow off steam. Its amazing that I have been drumming for a full year now, though I'm no Nicko McBrain or Neal Peart, it's been an incredibly fun journey and I hope to continue. So that's been kind of demanding a lot of my focus and attention.

I am appearing at a convention table here in Chicago at Wizard World so I have to get a lot of things ready to at least show off. I do the covers for my friends comic so I get to tag along, draw for people, and even sell some stuff. I'll say this, its nice to meet people face to face who actually have nice things to say about my artwork. Major confidence booster.

I want to give a colossal amount of credit to who basically wins my vote for "Coolest Guy Ever." Why? Because he basically showed me that not all artists are anti-social elitists. Talkative, friendly and he has finally given me something I have always wanted on my artwork, in depth critique. Not the "face looks weird" or "you draw eyes funny" kind, as in he gave me actual critique and ways to fix it. Had to say it because the he changed the way I approach me art which will more than likely be for the better.

and mine's birthdays are coming up. To be honest I don't care about mine, my birthdays have never really been a cause for celebration, I suppose I am somewhat jaded because normally it's just another day to other people. I've never been one of those "My birthday is suppose to be basically an entire holiday devoted to me." people, its just more so I always seem to get screwed over on it. One year I got my driver's license denied, the other was pretty much considered just another day by anyone. My 21st was pretty much...yea I would rather not go into it. That I guess I remember a year back some artists I used to talk off of here always drew b-day pics for eachother then mine came along...and I basically got the "I suppose we could try." deal. So yea. To be honest I don't like my birthday much. TLD's on the other hand though I want to be really good, so go over to her page and wish her a happy one when it comes around on the 19th. It's her 21st, the big one.

I have been absolutely hooked on Blazblue in some of my lesser downtime, seriously this game kicks the shit out of pretty much most every fighting game I have played in recent memory. Fast paced, fun, and a really awesome cast of characters (some of which I most definitely plan on fattening up.)

Other than that's just a post to let people know that I am still alive, still working on my trades/requests and fighting the good fight. Sorry about the bday rant above...just kind of one of those haunting things.
